From Thursday, 17th, to Sunday, 20th October, the Nature-Health fair at the GR - Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre is connecting nature with health and through its slogan ‘Let’s lead a vital life!’ informs its visitors of a healthy lifestyle. Not only is it important what we eat but also where we live, how we take care of our overall fitness, what attitude we have towards our environment, how we use natural resources and energy. This year, there is another event taking place at the same time: the 11th Camping & Caravanning, which offers equipment for spending free time outdoors, i.e. leisure vehicles, equipment for these vehicles, tents and trailer tents, camping and active leisure time equipment. With one ticket you can attend both events in one visit. On both fairs, there are 313 exhibiting companies from 17 countries.
44th Nature-Health fair presents its offer through six topics: Food, Health, Moving, Wellness, Natural beauty products and Green coexistence
. The honorary sponsors are the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and Ministry of Health of the Republic of Slovenia. The Slovene Consumers’ Association
, cooperating as a partner, informs visitors about certificates: what they truly guarantee, who issued them and who supervises the products’ identity.
The fair, however, is not only the exhibition of healthy lifestyle services, products, and activities; it is also a place of interaction, exchange of information, first-hand advice. It is enriched by a versatile accompanying programme
. For four days, there is a true counselling marathon going on in exhibition spaces, stages and lecture rooms: over 200 various workshops, lectures, tastings, presentations for all generations
, also for children and teenagers; therefore we recommend the visit to organized groups, families and elderly visitors.
Together with the Ecologists without Borders
, the GR encourages the visitors to bring with them a shopping bag with used textiles, weighing at least 1kg. In this way we support the project Tekstilnica
where such textiles are reused. The project opens new jobs for less-employable persons and searches for new possibilities of reusing textiles. At the fair, there is also Snaga company with a mobile collection centre for dangerous waste from households and small electrical and electronic equipment
. This a good opportunity to get rid of useless household appliances, old cosmetic products, paints, oils and similar clutter. The fair is open from Thursday, 17 October, to Saturday, 19 October, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, only on Sunday, 20 October, it closes at 5:00 PM.
